Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have references from past clients?

I can provide references for both translation and interpreting projects upon request. If you’re looking for experience in a specific area, I’m happy to share the most relevant examples.

Can I see samples of your previous work?

Many of my projects are confidential, but when appropriate I can share redacted or anonymized samples. If you’d like to see a particular type of material, let me know what would be most useful.

What file formats do you accept?

I can work with PDF, Word documents (DOC/DOCX), text files, and images. If your document is in an unusual format, feel free to send it and I’ll let you know what’s possible.

How should I send my documents?

You can upload your files securely through the Request a Quote form. If your materials are especially large or sensitive, I can also provide a secure upload link on request.

Can you handle urgent or short-notice projects?

If you have a tight deadline or same-day requirement, mention it in your request and I’ll let you know whether I can accommodate it.

Do you maintain confidentiality?

All materials and communication are treated with strict confidentiality. If you require a formal non-disclosure agreement, I’m happy to sign one.

Do you work with handwritten documents?

As long as the handwriting is legible. If you're unsure, you can send a sample page and I’ll confirm feasibility.

Can you revise or edit translations completed by someone else?

Yes. I regularly review and revise existing translations for clarity, tone, and accuracy. If you’re looking for a quality check or second opinion, I can help with that.

What if I’m not sure whether my project is the right fit?

You’re always welcome to send a sample or brief description. If the project requires a different specialist, I’ll let you know — and, if possible, recommend the right direction.

How soon will I hear back after sending a request?

Usually the same day — often within a few hours. If I’m traveling or on assignment, I’ll reply as soon as possible.

What information should I include when requesting a quote?

Ideally: your document (or excerpt), the language pair, your preferred deadline, and any relevant context. More information always helps, but it's not required.

Do you use AI or machine translation tools?

I do not rely on machine translation for client work. All translations and interpreting are carried out personally, with attention to meaning, tone, and context. When appropriate, I also review and evaluate machine-generated translations as part of quality assurance or assessment work.

stic integrity. This is essential for cultural and language-sensitive projects.
